I did something today that I've not done for a very long time. I went into McDonald's for lunch.
As soon as I entered I thought I was in the wrong place. I was greeted at the door by two employees. Once I'd ordered (yes I was encouraged to 'Go Large') I was advised my choice would be a few minutes wait. At this point I was asked to take a seat and my food would be brought to my table. Not bad I thought. Before I'd even removed my coat, my food arrived with an apology for the delay.
The customer service assault didn't stop there. A few minutes later, I was asked if everything was OK with my meal. I didn't even have to take my tray to the bin when I'd finished as another server asked if they could do it for me.
And finally as I left I was wished a good day by the two chaps on the door.
All in all it was a quite pleasant customer service experience. And there was no sign of that scary looking clown!
